Hey Ya’ll!! We’re back with Feature FRIYAY!!
This week we present to you Jonathon Shanley. There is something special about our early a.m group. It’s hard to wake up early every day and give it your best consistently. Jonathon is proof that no matter what kind of morning/evening he’s had he walks in to the gym ready to work. He has this sort of quiet energy about him that is always positive and is a treat to be around that early. Here’s a little more about him!
What do you do for a living?
JS: I am a GIS Coordinator for an Energy Company.(I make maps and mange real world data in our mapping software.)
What was your first Crossfit experience like?
JS: It was brutal, I had never done burpees before I thought my lungs were going to burn out of my chest. But I knew after the WOD I was hooked.
How has CrossFit changed your life if at all?
JS: I have more energy and have reached fitness goals that I haven’t hit in years.
If you could describe Bedlam using 3 words what would they be?
What are your favorite and least favorite movements and why?
JS: My least favorite movement is burpees, being a big guy just makes them suck.
My favorite movement right now is pull ups, because I am finally able to do them again after years.
Name 3 people that inspire/motivate you?
JS: My family is my biggest motivation to get up every morning , I want to be able to live a long and active life with them.
I really like Cameron Hanes, he is professional hunter and athlete, he inspires me to push myself harder in all aspects of my life.
