Welcome To Bedlam CF

Bedlam CrossFit is not a typical gym. We are Texas’ Elite Fitness Facility specializing in teaching the CrossFit standards of “fitness”, “health” and “athleticism.” Our fitness, being “CrossFit”, comes through molding men and women that are equal parts gymnast, Olympic weightlifter, and multi-modal sprinter or “sprint athlete.” Bedlam CrossFit strives to break away from the current, flawed fitness model we see so prevalent in America. You will not find mirrors, universal machines, or disinterested staff. What you will find are all the tools necessary to build elite levels of fitness, and trainers committed to get you there.

The Hero's Journey

To date I have lost 270lbs. At my heaviest, in Jan 2012, I weighed 480lbs and today I weigh in at 210lbs.

Before I stepped foot into Beldam I had already lost 100lbs on my own through watching what I ate and getting myself moving.

I have struggled with my weight for the past decade. I tried many types of exercise and various diets. I would find small short-term success, but nothing lasting, and eventually I would return to where I began. Bedlam Crossfit

Desiree is a BedlamCF staple. You notice when she isn’t here. She’s a wonderful person to talk to about anything and she will always keep it 100% real. She has stepped up her crossfit game within the past year and is crushing new weights and higher level skills. Thanks for being a kick ass role model Des and congrats to being this week’s feature! ❤️

••I do Crossfit because....it is the biggest stress reliever! I work out right after work, so by the time I finish at 7pm, any thoughts of work have left my mind. They have been replaced with pain and heaving breathing. I also love the sense of accomplishment I feel, and the reminder of how hard I can push myself. It’s rewarding to have others celebrate with you in your achievements. Bedlam has created such a warm and welcoming environment.

••Something that people don't know about me is...that I don’t cook on a regular basis. I will meal prep (for myself J ) a few days a week, but that is about it. My husband jokes, that we have been married for 10 years and I have cooked less than 10 meals for him. Ouch! Lol ………..Oddly enough, before I was married, I cooked on almost a daily basis. I guess 5 days of baked chicken was not his cup of tea. lol

••I am most motivated by..... my family. I want to set the best example possible for my daughter. I feel that it is my responsibility as a parent. I want her to learn self-worth, a strong work ethic, and compassion for others. Bullying starts at such a young age, and it is one of the hardest things to deal with. You have to learn to stand up for yourself and not show intimidation. That is a lesson that we will continue to use throughout our lives.

••Bedlam is... a second home. I have met so many great people and have formed strong friendships. I have been a 6zzzer since I started, and have to admit, it’s the best time to come! J I feel very fortunate to have those around me, that are constantly motivating me. From the coaches to my fellow 6erzzzs, I am grateful.

••I feel strongest when...I can (somewhat) keep up with those 10 years younger than me. Lol …… I have experienced a lot of first, including my PRs, and they have all felt just as good as the last! It is an amazing feeling to know that all your hard work has paid off.

••Don't Wait Too Long... because tomorrow is not promised. Never miss an opportunity to tell someone you love them and appreciate them. Always try and be a better person today then you were yesterday.
