Why Crossfit?

Crossfit has become a way of life for me. It has allowed me to push myself to the limits mentally and physically. Crossfit has allowed me to take my fitness inside the gym and transfer it outside of these four walls into my hobbies such as hiking and mountain biking. Through the different Crossfit workouts that i face i know that i will be physically and mentally prepared for the outside challenges that are thrown my way every day.

Why Bedlam?

Bedlam opened it’s doors to me when I needed help the most. I came out of a place that was not accepting and not challenging me, so I heard about this place from a friend and thought I would try it out. I knew from day one walking into this place that it was the right fit for me. It was accepting and challenging. The community was loving and the other coaches made it feel like home to me. Bedlam till this day, continues to be my home and place of love and acceptance no matter who you are or where you came from.

My 1st CF Experience?

My first ever Crossfit experience was five years ago in January of 2013. I was very skeptical of this thing called Crossfit. My parents John and Linda Witte told me about this new type of fitness and I didn’t believe them. I was graduating my senior year of high school coming off of cross country, track, and swim team. I considered myself to be in great shape, so I thought until I did this workout. It was our baseline workout and comprised of a 500 meter row followed by 40 air squats, 30 sit ups, 20 push ups, and 10 pull ups for time. I was able to do it all without assistance, but by all means it was not easy in way shape form or fashion. It took me about seven minutes to do the baseline and I threw up a total of about three times. I had never been so broken down from something like this before, but from that day on i was hooked.

What Drives Me?

I am driven by hard work and success. I was raised from a very young age from my parents that to know that is what sets you apart and will make you successful. Therefore, I take every single day to work as hard as I can and drive for what I want in life. What drives me is to make something of myself and make a name for myself. I want to be the best possible coach that I can be and impact every single person’s life that I come in contact with.

My Biggest Achievement?

My biggest achievement is one that is most likely not others. It has been my goal in life to always be a coach and personal trainer. Ever since walking in Bedlam’s door’s, I have wanted to be apart of this community. Seeing the owner’s passion and love for fitness and the members has driven me to be apart of it. So with that being said, my biggest Achievement is becoming part of the Bedlam team here. Being part of such a successful and influential gym here in San Antonio is absolutely amazing and I consider it an honor to be here.
